Almond Bark


 This recipe filled with a few of my favorite things, makes one of the easiest,
best tasting little treats on the planet. I have made thousands of these bite-sized
morsels to sample at markets and book signings all over the country.  And it
has become everyone’s  favorite.  Yet little did they know, and I love explaining,
that this is a simple, 15 minute recipe with items that you always have on hand.
But this Almond Bark, crushed and sprinkled over a bowl of yogurt or ice
cream, or crumbled and tossed in a salad… is fabulous! So be sure

1 c. butter
½ c. sugar
1 pkg. (9 crackers) graham crackers
1 c. sliced almonds
1 tsp. kosher salt

Preheat oven to 375°. In a medium-size pot melt butter. Add sugar and
boil for 2 minutes. Line a jelly roll pan with graham crackers and pour
butter and sugar mixture over crackers. Spread sliced almonds evenly
over the crackers and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 10 minutes.
Cool and break or cut into triangles (as pictured) and serve.
