So this crazy little recipe happens to be a combination of some of my favorite flavors.
I know what you are thinking….I say everything is my fav! What can I say… I LOVE FOOD!
But it is true, I love CHOCOLATE and I love ORANGE sliced candy. It is one of
those treats my cute hubby brings me, when he goes to Rite Aid or Walmart…..
which means he was thinking of me!
So, when we were brainstorming for this chapter, and trying to list all the orange
and black foods we could think of…..well, it seemed natural to combine these
ingredients. But, I had no idea just how yummy this little treat would be!!!
It is simple to prepare, once you have gathered the ingredients. It makes a
great treat to take to a class Halloween Party or any spooky gathering!
Halloween Delight Kettle Corn
1, 18 oz. bag popped kettle corn
1, 12 oz. pkg. mini semisweet chocolate chips
1, 12 oz. pkg. white chocolate chips
12 to 15 orange slice candies
Place kettle corn in a large mixing bowl. Melt white chocolate chips in a glass bowl
in the microwave. Heat for 20 seconds at a time, stirring between, until completely
melted. Do not overcook. Fold melted chocolate into the kettle corn and stir until
completely coated. Gently toss kettle corn with mini chocolate chips and spread out
on 2 jelly roll pans. Cut orange slices into small pieces with scissors and sprinkle
over warm popcorn. Chill in refrigerator for 15 minutes. Break into pieces and
place in a serving bowl.
