Mini-Mummies

This little recipe is really one of those no-brainer treasures.  It happens to
be one of my husbands favorites. It is perfect for any “game day”gathering
or tailgating party. Dipping Mini Mummies in the fabulous Easy BBQ Dipping
sauce creates the perfect combination of flavors to be a
crowd-pleaser every time!

Mini MUMMIES

1 8 oz. can crescent rolls
1 13 oz. pkg. beef sausage Lit’l Smokies™
3 tbsp. butter, melted
½ tsp. garlic salt

Preheat oven to 375°. Open crescent rolls and spread out on flat surface.
Cut in ½-inch strips no longer than 1 ½-inches long. Wrap and stretch
a strip of dough around each smokie and place on a jelly roll pan. Bake
for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and
brush with melted butter and season with garlic salt.

 

BBQ-sauce

Easy BBQ Dipping Sauce

¾ c. brown sugar
1 ¼ tsp. ground mustard
¾ c. ketchup
1 tsp. paprika
¼ c. red wine vinegar
¾ tsp. kosher salt
¼ c. water
½ tsp. coarse black pepper
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Whisk until the sugar has dissolved
and the spices are well blended. Serve immediately or cover and store in
refrigerator. Serve with Mini Mummies.
